Our little guy has a thing for horses.
It was his first word. And his favorite word (he says it when he wakes, before he goes to sleep and about 150 times in between):
“-Orse!”
He carries one everywhere we go.
All the time.
And it’s not entirely his fault.
I mean … with a dad who’s a rodeo cowboy
… and the son of a guy who likes Saturday western matinees.
He lives in a house with more than a few horse pix on the wall (17 at my last count … one of the reasons we call it “The Cowboy Cottage.”)
And even a few on the floor.
“The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit and fire.” – Sharon Ralls
I guess there are worse things for him to be obsessed with …
xo,

That’s my boy and he is learning from a very early age what Xenophon, Winston Churchill, Will Rogers and Nancy Reagan have all been credited with saying…
“The best thing for the inside of a man is the outside of a horse.”
So many good times to come my boy, just remember as you go through life to ‘keep the forked end down!’ More often than not anyway.
